East Bay Moves $5,000 Open Wheel Modified Championship to Sunday

TAMPA, FL…….1/30/10…….East Bay Raceway Park was forced to move their Open Wheel Modified 75-lap, $5,000-to-win Championship race to Sunday at 1:00PM.

 Persistent rain showers that started early Saturday afternoon and continued to build and roll in off the Gulf caused track officials to reschedule the event for Sunday afternoon.

 The week of four Preliminary races with four different winners for the 63 total cars from 17 states and Canada that signed in for the 11^th Annual Open Wheel Modified Winternationals as part of East Bay’s 34^th Anniversary season will warm up at 12:00noon.

 General Admission Sunday will be $25.00 for the grandstand and the pits will be $35.00.  For more information call the track at 813-677-7223.

 A Lucas Oil Late Model practice is set for Sunday evening from 6:00 to 9:00PM in preparation for the six nights of Late Model Winternationals races that run February lst through February 6.  Grandstand is FREE for Sunday night’s practice.
